After many years, we were graced to have a Parish Mission conducted by the Legion of Mary Peregrinatio Pro Christo from the 26th of June to the 3rd of July. Ably led by Latin teacher, John McLoughlin, the group of 13 (supported by two local Legionaries) visited over 3500 homes, and twenty possibles were recruited for the RCIA course, as well as a large number of lapsed Catholics, several of whom indicated an interest in returning to the Faith. Another good fruit of the mission is the beginning of our own presidium of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, which meets every Thursday in the presbytery at 7.30 p.m. However, we are few in number, and anyone with a love of our Faith and of Our Lady would be very welcome to join us.
