The Society of St Vincent de Paul
SVP visits people in their homes and in hospital, especially those who are lonely. There is a summer camp for girls and boys. Through SVP our parish supports four poor parishes in India financially and we give mutual support through prayer. "No work of charity is foreign to the Society."

Annual Report 2007
The SVP Conference has made several hundred visits during the past year people (Catholic and non-Catholic) at home, in residential homes and in hospital. Through the parish generosity the conference has also supported financially four Indian Parishes who pray for our parish as we pray for theirs. We also correspond with them , as well and supporting financially several students in their education. Also through parish generosity we have helped refugees in Darfur via the SVP Disaster Fund relief effort. If any one would like to be visited or become a member please speak to Fr. James, Paul Ives, Stan Holder, Davnet Barker or another SVP member.
Annual Report 2006
During the past twelve months the SVP made 464 visits of which 58 were to people in hospital or residential homes. If you or someone you know might like a visit please let Fr. James or a member of the SVP know.
The SVP at diocesan level runs a Summer Camp for boys and girls.
Money donated to SVP by Epping parishioners supports four poor parishes in India financially on an on-going basis and we have been able to give extra financial support to these twinnings over the past two years to help with recovery from the Tsunami and monsoon damage and the orphans from these disasters. We correspond with our Indian twin parishes and give each other mutual support through prayers.
